Joshua K. Au, M.D.

Dr. Joshua K. Au graduated from Yale University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He began his medical training at Yale School of Medicine and graduated with his Medical Doctorate. Subsequently, he completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at University of California at Los Angeles.

He has been the recipient of national awards including the Cohen-Geller Award in Pediatric Otolaryngology from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the Esther Lim Memorial Scholar award from the Chinese American Medical Society, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery Leslie Bernstein Resident Research Grant. He has given numerous presentation and published in top academic journals on topics of head and neck cancer, facial plastic surgery, and airway management.

Dr. Au is on the staff of the John Muir Health system. He sees patients at the Concord, Walnut Creek and San Ramon offices and speaks Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and English.

Dr. Au specializes in comprehensive, evidence-based care of the ear, nose, and throat in adult and pediatric patients. He is expertly trained in all aspects of ear, nose, and throat disorders and welcomes all patients with sinus disease, allergy, sleep apnea, ear dysfunction, thyroid and parathyroid disease, salivary gland disorders, head and neck cancer, as well as speech and swallow disorders. He recognizes that each patient concern is unique and treats all patients with compassion and care.
